- 1 cups (237 ml) grated Parmesan
- 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Seamless Dough Sheets
- 1 package Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese
- 2 lbs (907 g) asparagus
- 20 pieces prosciutto
- Kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread Parmesan cheese on a plate or shallow baking dish.
- Lightly dust a clean work surface with flour.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and lay it on the work surface. Lightly roll it out to 1/4 inch thickness.
- Spread cheese evenly over the dough using an offset spatula.
- Cut the dough into 1/8-inch wide strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Wrap each asparagus stalk in prosciutto, then a strip of dough, leaving the tip exposed.
- Roll the wrapped asparagus in Parmesan cheese until coated.
- Place the asparagus on the prepared baking sheet.
- Repeat until all asparagus is wrapped.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350°F (177°C), or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For easier handling, blanch the asparagus for 2 minutes before wrapping to slightly soften.
- Substitute another soft cheese like goat cheese for the Boursin if needed.
- These bundles can be assembled ahead of time and stored, unwrapped, in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
