Description

A zesty and spicy prawn dish, perfect for a quick weeknight meal. The combination of fresh lime, coriander, and chili brings a burst of flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • a thin slice of salted butter
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100g (3.5 oz) prawns
  • a handful of fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 tablespoon (7.4ml) dried chilli flakes
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Chop the shallots and place in a frying pan with the butter and cook until they begin to turn golden.
  2. Add the garlic and the prawns.
  3. Chop the coriander and add in.
  4. Squeeze on the lime juice and mix in the salt and dried chilli flakes.
  5. Cook on a medium-high heat for about 5 minutes or until the prawns are cooked through.
  6. To serve: Heat up some wraps in the oven and spoon on the prawns, then roll and eat.

Notes

  • Using fresh raw prawns is preferred over frozen for the best results, if available.
  • Ensure the shallots are golden before adding the garlic and prawns.
  • Cook the prawns for about 5 minutes on medium-high heat until they are fully cooked through.
