Description

A simple and stunning heirloom tomato puff pastry


Ingredients

Scale
  • a sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • flour for dusting
  • several small tomatoes
  • fresh goat cheese, about half a small log
  • 56 fresh basil leaves
  • a drizzle of olive oil
  • fresh cracked pepper and kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Roll out the pasty to form a long rectangle.
  3. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and place the the dough on.
  4. Slice the tomatoes and layer them on the pastry.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drizzle with oil.
  7. Sprinkle with goat cheese crumbles.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry puff and gets golden brown.
  9. Once ready, chiffonade the basil leaves and put on top.
  10. Slice and serve warm.
