Description

A silky, cheesy pasta dish featuring farfalle coated in a creamy goat cheese and Parmesan sauce, spiced up with chili flakes for a delightful kick.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups farfalle pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon pepper powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the garlic and butter mixture, stirring constantly for about 1 minute to form a roux. Ensure no lumps form.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the goat cheese and Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until the cheeses have melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Stir in the chili flakes and pepper powder. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Add the cooked farfalle pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the pasta is heated through.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and chili flakes if desired.

Notes

For a spicier dish, increase the amount of chili flakes. This pasta is best served immediately but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stove, adding a splash of milk to loosen the sauce if needed.
