Description

A festive and indulgent French toast with a hint of brandy, perfect for a Sunday brunch that will delight everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 thick slices of bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 heaped tablespoons brandy cream
  • Greek yogurt, for serving
  • Vanilla sugar, for serving
  • Optional toppings: bacon and maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs together with the milk and brandy cream until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Allow each slice to soak for 2 minutes on each side to absorb the mixture.
  3. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the soaked bread slices to the pan.
  4. Cook each slice for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve the French toast warm, topped with Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of vanilla sugar. For a richer option, add bacon and maple syrup, or for a lighter choice, drizzle with honey.

Notes

For a lighter version, serve with vanilla yogurt and honey. For a more indulgent option, add bacon and maple syrup. Ensure the bread is thick to absorb the mixture well. This dish is best served immediately after cooking.
