Description
A quick and healthy dessert featuring spiced pears and figs, topped with crunchy granola and seeds for a comforting treat.
Ingredients

- 1 juicy pear, washed and chopped into small chunks
- 2-3 figs, chopped
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary (or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary)
- A pinch of sea salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp of your favorite granola
- 1 tbsp pumpkin or flax seeds
- Water, to cover the bottom of the pot
Instructions
- Just cover the bottom of a small pot with water and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- While the water is heating, wash and chop the pear into small chunks.
- Add the chopped pear to the simmering water.
- Chop the figs and add them to the pot with the pears.
- Stir in the curry powder, cinnamon, rosemary, and a pinch of sea salt.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is soft and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and serve warm, topped with granola and pumpkin or flax seeds.
Notes
This dish isn’t a traditional crumble as it isn’t baked, but it’s a quick alternative. You can substitute the granola with nuts for added crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Adjust the spices to your taste for a more personalized flavor.
