Description
Crispy potato chips made without oil in the microwave. A perfect snack or pantry-raid recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large russet potato
- Salt
Instructions
- Peel the potato and use a mandolin or food processor to cut it into thin slices.
- Place the slices in a bowl of water to prevent browning.
- Place a piece of parchment paper on a glass plate.
- Spread the potato slices on the parchment in a single layer.
- Sprinkle with salt, if desired, and microwave on high for 3–7 minutes (depending on your microwave and the thickness of the slices).
- Cook until the slices are crisp and slightly golden.
Notes
- For even cooking, ensure potato slices are of uniform thickness.
- If your microwave has uneven heating, rotate the plate halfway through cooking.
- Store leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; they will soften over time.
