- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil or melted butter
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a deep bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp ground cinnamon until well mixed.
- Stack the flour tortillas and, depending on their size, cut them into wedges or strips.
- Brush each tortilla piece lightly with olive oil or melted butter on both sides.
- Dip each piece into the cinnamon sugar mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Place the coated tortilla pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- It helps if the tortillas are a few days old or are dry, as this makes them crisp up quicker.
- You could also leave fresher tortillas out on the counter for 30 minutes before baking.
- These chips are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
