Description

A rich, moist, delicious, easy-to-make chocolate bundt cake.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package Chocolate Cake Mix (the more basic, the better)
  • 1 package (4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 bag chocolate chips (I use the best quality here)
  • 1 3/4 cup (420 ml) whole milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

chocolate glaze

  • 2 c. (480 ml) sifted confectioner's sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tbsp. (15 g) butter, softened
  • 1/2 t. vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp. (60 ml) milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176 degrees Celcius)
  2. In a large bowl combine cake mix, pudding mix and chocolate chips.
  3. In a separate bowl combine milk, eggs and vanilla.
  4. Add egg mixture to dry mixture and mix by hand until just blended.
  5. Pour into a prepared bundt pan.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from pan and cool completely before topping with chocolate glaze.
  9. The unglazed cake can also be wrapped and frozen for later.

chocolate glaze

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together until combined.
  2. Add more milk if necessary for correct consistency.
  3. Pour over chocolate bundt cake.
  4. Lick bowl.
