Description

These Cajun Style Roasted Almonds are a flavorful and healthy snack, perfect for a quick energy boost with a spicy kick.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) of raw almonds
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp of cajun spices (preferably homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the raw almonds, olive oil, and 1 tsp of cajun spices. Toss until the almonds are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the almonds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the almonds are golden brown and fragrant.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining 1/2 tsp of cajun spices over the hot almonds. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store the roasted almonds in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of cajun spices.
