- 1 lbs (454 g) ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 0.5 tsp cumin
- 0.25 tsp garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.7 cups (167 ml) salsa
- 1 cups (237 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 organic bell peppers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil and nonstick spray.
- Clean, dry, and core bell peppers; slice each into 5-6 vertical pieces.
- In a large stovetop pan, cook ground turkey in olive oil over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
- Let the turkey cool slightly before adding spices and salsa; combine well.
- Fill bell pepper halves with the turkey mixture and top with cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Notes
- For easier cleanup, line your baking sheet with parchment paper instead of foil.
- If you prefer a spicier nacho, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the turkey mixture.
- These nachos can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
