Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bunch (about 1 pound fresh asparagus (bottom trimmed))
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 34 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon (freshly squeezed)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 tablespoons grated cheese (Romano, or Parmesan)

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the olive oil.
  3. Add asparagus and saute for about 3-5 minutes (should be crisp tender).
  4. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  7. Toss to combine.
  8. Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.
