Description

A rich smoothie made with almond milk and a blend of satisfying spices that are perfect to comfort or refresh whether spring has arrived for you yet or not. Adapted from Blissful Basil.com


Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 chopped apple, cored, unpeeled
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) almond milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender (such as a Vitamix). Process first on low, and gradually work up to high speed until mixture is completely smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately. May be stored in the refrigerator for up to one day.
