Description

These doughnuts are baked, making them slightly healthier than the fried variety, but just as tasty.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix, prepared as package directs- but use the following substitutions:
  • replace 1/2 the oil with melted butter
  • replace the water with milk

For the glaze

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter, melted
  • 2 tbs (30 ml) milk
  • 2 1/2 cups (600 ml) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Pour the batter into a greased doughnut pan and bake for 12-14 minutes; allow to cool and glaze.

To make the glaze

  1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl, stir until smooth
