Description

This Avocado Pesto Crostini is a simple yet delicious appetizer featuring crispy baguette slices topped with creamy avocado and flavorful pesto.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
  • Sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place the sliced baguette pieces, cut side down, in the skillet. Toast for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove the toasted baguette slices from the skillet and place them on a serving platter.
  4. Spread a thin layer of pesto over each toasted baguette slice.
  5. Top each slice with a few slices of ripe avocado.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the avocado to enhance the flavor.
  7. Serve immediately as a delightful appetizer.
