Description

A quick and easy graham cracker crust,
perfect for cheesecakes or pies.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups (355 ml) graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) white sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup of white sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture appears crumbly.
  3. Transfer the crumb mixture to an 8 or 9-inch pie plate. Using the back of a spoon or the base of a measuring cup, press the mixture evenly along the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate. Ensure the crust is compacted well to hold its shape.
  4. Place the pie plate in the preheated oven and bake for 6-7 minutes. The crust should be lightly golden when done.
  5. After baking, remove the crust from the oven and allow it to cool completely before filling.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular melted butter.
  • If your graham cracker crumbs are too fine, add a tablespoon or two of crushed graham crackers for better texture.
  • To prevent a soggy bottom, bake the crust for an extra 2-3 minutes if using a wet filling.
