Scale
- 1 1/2 cups (355 ml) graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) white sugar
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup of white sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture appears crumbly.
- Transfer the crumb mixture to an 8 or 9-inch pie plate. Using the back of a spoon or the base of a measuring cup, press the mixture evenly along the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate. Ensure the crust is compacted well to hold its shape.
- Place the pie plate in the preheated oven and bake for 6-7 minutes. The crust should be lightly golden when done.
- After baking, remove the crust from the oven and allow it to cool completely before filling.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular melted butter.
- If your graham cracker crumbs are too fine, add a tablespoon or two of crushed graham crackers for better texture.
- To prevent a soggy bottom, bake the crust for an extra 2-3 minutes if using a wet filling.
