Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 small head cabbage finely
  • 1/4 small head red cabbage finely sliced
  • 1/2 lb (225 g) chicken breast cooked shredded
  • 2 packs / 3 oz (85 g) Nissan brand instant. Ramen (reserve flavor packet for other use)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) toasted sliced almonds
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) salad Oil
  • 6 tbsp (90 ml) vinegar
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • a few drops of sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine all salad ingredients
  2. Pour over dressing.
  3. Toss lightly , cover and chill and serve.

Variations

  1. Add frozen peas.
  2. "Sapporo Ichiban" brand ramen noodles also give a good result
