Description

Buttermilk biscuits, raspberry preserves, and spicy sausage create a surprisingly delicious breakfast sandwich. A fried egg and cheddar cheese add richness and heartiness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 buttermilk biscuits (split)
  • Bonne Maman Raspberry Preserves
  • 6 sausage patties
  • 6 fried eggs
  • 6 slices white cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Spread the biscuit tops and bottoms with raspberry preserves.
  2. Place the sausage patty on the biscuit bottom.
  3. Top with the fried egg and cheese.
  4. Top with the biscuit top and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, use hot Italian sausage instead of regular sausage patties.
  • To make ahead, prepare the sausage and eggs separately and store them in the refrigerator. Assemble the sandwiches just before serving.
  • If buttermilk biscuits are unavailable, substitute with your favorite quick bread, such as English muffins or croissants.
