Scale
- 38 ounces (1078 g) Italian sausages
- 1/2 bottle dry white wine
- 0.5 cups (118 ml) sour cream
- 0.25 cups (59 ml) Maille Dijon Originale Mustard
- 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Place sausage pieces in a large, deep skillet and add wine. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, or until fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare the creamy mustard dipping sauce. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Once the sausages are cooked, remove them with a slotted spoon and place on a baking sheet.
- Broil on HIGH (500°F/260°C) for 6-8 minutes, until the sausages are browned, tossing halfway through.
- Serve with toothpicks and creamy mustard dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a dry white wine with noticeable acidity, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
- To prevent the sausages from drying out during broiling, ensure they’re not overcrowded on the baking sheet.
- Leftover sausages can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheated gently in a skillet or oven.
