Description

Crispy crostini topped with creamy goat cheese, salty prosciutto, and tender asparagus. A perfect appetizer for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package Prosciutto di Parma
  • 1 oz (28 g) Goat cheese
  • 1 lbs (454 g) asparagus
  • 1 baguette
  • Fig jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Slice baguette on an angle and arrange slices in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and bake until lightly toasted, about 15 minutes.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a skillet and fry whole slices of prosciutto for three to four minutes, until crispy.
  5. Remove prosciutto and place on a paper towel-lined plate; set aside.
  6. In the same skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and trimmed asparagus. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook asparagus for 10 minutes, turning to ensure even cooking.
  8. Remove toast from oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Spread goat cheese over the toast.
  10. Top with 1 teaspoon of fig jam, cooked asparagus, and crispy prosciutto.

Notes

  • For extra crispy prosciutto, broil it for the last minute of cooking.
  • If goat cheese is too firm, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before spreading.
  • Substitute another creamy cheese, like ricotta, for the goat cheese if needed.
