Description

These alternatives to traditional burgers are full of seasonal flavors like dried thyme and grilled apples.


Ingredients

Units
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 yellow onion, grated
  • 1 t dried thyme
  • 1 T Dijon Mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground pork, garlic, onion, thyme, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Grill the apple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until grill marks appear.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on buns and topping with grilled apple slices.
