Description

Warm brie, baked to perfection with brandy, then topped with pomegranate seeds, pistachios, and a drizzle of honey. Serve with crackers or baguette for a festive appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round Brie
  • 0.5 tbsp brandy
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp pistachios
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Crackers or baguette

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Tear a roundish piece of parchment paper large enough to hold the Brie, extending partly up the sides.
  3. Crumple the parchment into a ball, then flatten it out.
  4. Cut the top off the Brie with a sharp knife.
  5. Place the Brie on the parchment paper, then on a baking sheet.
  6. Pour brandy over the Brie.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes at 350°F (177°C), or until the Brie is very soft and melty.
  8. Remove the Brie from the oven.
  9. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and pistachios.
  10. Drizzle with honey.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a stronger brandy flavor, increase the amount to 1 tablespoon and let it sit on the brie for 5 minutes before baking.
  • Toasted pistachios offer a more intense flavor; toast them in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes before sprinkling.
  • Leftovers can be stored, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat gently before serving.
