- 1 cups (237 ml) apple
- 1 cups (237 ml) pear
- 1 tsp honey
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 0.75 cups (178 ml) Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 Tbsps maple syrup
- 3 Tbsps coconut oil
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Oatmeal Topping
- In a small bowl, mix together oats, cinnamon, maple syrup, coconut oil, and salt. Set aside.
- Apple Pear Base
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In an 8×8 inch baking dish or medium size bowl, mix together apples, pears, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Top evenly with oatmeal topping.
- Bake for 17 minutes or until topping is golden brown and sides are bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve as is or with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
Notes
- For a crispier topping, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- If pears or apples are particularly juicy, drain off excess liquid before adding the topping to prevent a soggy crisp.
- Store leftover crisp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
