Description

Frozen peaches, lime juice, sugar, and bourbon blended smooth in two minutes flat. Swap in rum if that’s more your speed.

Ingredients

Units
  • 3 limes (juiced)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 ripe peaches (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup bourbon or rum
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Juice the limes and add the juice to a blender.
  2. Add water, sugar, and sliced peaches to the blender.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add bourbon or rum and blend again.
  5. Add ice cubes and blend until the mixture reaches a slushie consistency.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Taste your peaches before adding the full amount of sugar. Very ripe, fragrant ones need less; the sugar here is balancing the lime, not sweetening the drink.
  • Freeze the peach slices for an hour before blending if you want a thicker slushie without watering it down with extra ice.
  • Blend the liquids first, then add the peaches and ice in batches. Ice that hits the blades before there is liquid underneath tends to get stuck.
