Description

Stir it into your oats or yogurt, slather onto toast or a waffle, pair it with a cheese board. Whatever you do with it, this easy orange zest and cranberry chia jam will bring a delicious burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice (from 1 orange)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp orange zest (from 1 orange)

Instructions

  1. Add fresh cranberries, orange juice, water, granulated sugar and salt to a medium pot over medium high heat. Bring to a boil, about 12-15 minutes.
  2. Allow to cook until cranberries start to break down and burst, about an additional 5 minutes. Crush with a spoon to break down the cranberries a bit more.
  3. Stir in chia seeds and orange zest.
  4. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes. Turn off heat and allow to cook and thicken completely.
