Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
