Instructions
Grind the Spices: Using a spice grinder, Magic Bullet, or mortar and pestle, grind each of the spices for your chosen blend until they are a fine powder. This ensures that the spices mix evenly with the salt.
Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the coarse salt with your ground spices. Mix thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the salt.
Store the Blend: Transfer the seasoned salt to an airtight container. Metal containers work great and can be kept on your kitchen counter for easy access. If you’re making multiple varieties, label each container with the specific blend for quick identification.
Notes
- Adjusting Spice Levels: Feel free to adjust the amount of spices to suit your personal taste. If you prefer a stronger flavor, increase the quantity of the spices.
- Storage: Store seasoned salt in a cool, dry place. It should last for several months, but the fresher the spices, the better the flavor.
- Usage: Use your seasoned salt as a finishing touch on meats, vegetables, and more. It’s a quick way to add flavor to any dish.
