Description
These Greek Turkey Sliders are mini-burgers made with lean ground turkey, briny feta cheese, and fresh oregano, served with a tangy tzatziki sauce for a flavorful and lighter alternative to beef burgers.

- 1 slice of bread, torn into small pieces
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 1/3 lb (600 g) ground turkey
- 1/3 cup (40 g) crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup (40 g) finely chopped red onion
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano or 2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Pita bread, for serving
- Mixed greens, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
- Cucumber slices, for serving
- Thinly sliced red onions, for serving
- Tzatziki sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the torn bread and milk. Mash with a fork until the bread is in very small pieces.
- Add the ground turkey, crumbled feta cheese, chopped red onion, oregano, salt, and pepper to the bread mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.
- Grill the sliders for about 4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have grill marks.
- While the sliders are grilling, prepare the tzatziki sauce if not already done.
- Serve the sliders in pita bread with mixed greens, tomato slices, cucumber slices, thinly sliced red onions, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
Notes
- For a stronger Greek flavor, use fresh oregano if available.
- These sliders can be served on pita bread or traditional slider buns.
- The tzatziki sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the turkey mixture.
