The Frothy Root Beer Cocktail

Also know as a flip, this cocktail froths an egg white with alcoholic root beer and rye whiskey.


  • 3 oz Not Your Father’s Root Beer (Alcoholic Root Beer)
  • 0.75 oz Egg White
  • 0.75 oz VOV Egg Liqueur
  • 1 oz Overproof Rye Whiskey (We used Rittenhouse Rye)


  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker (including root beer).
  2. Add ice and shake vigorously
  3. Fine strain into a bucket glass with fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
