Description
Spicy-sweet tofu with perfectly crispy edges. A delicious and easy vegan meal.

- 13 oz (369 g) Extra Firm Tofu
- Oil to pan fry or grill
- 3/4 cups (178 ml) Sriracha Sauce
- 2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey or brown sugar
Instructions
- Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Squeeze the tofu between your palms to drain excess water, then wrap in kitchen roll and squeeze gently again. Discard the kitchen roll and slice the tofu into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
- Coat each tofu piece with marinade on both sides and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a non-stick pan and pan-fry the tofu for 7-8 minutes per side until crispy.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For crispier tofu, air-dry the marinated pieces for 20-30 minutes before pan-frying.
- Maple syrup can be used as a direct substitute for honey.
- Store leftover tofu in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; reheat gently in a dry pan to restore crispiness.
