Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (1 package) Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 1 lbs (300 g) minced pork
  • 1 onion (1 onion) onion
  • 1 tablespoon (1 tablespoon) fish sauce
  • 3 tablespoon (3 tablespoon) rice wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1/2 teaspoon) five spice powder
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
  • 2 tablespoon (2 tablespoon) cornflour
  • 1/2 cup (118 ml) sesame seeds
  • 2 egg yolks (2 egg yolks) egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup (118 ml) spring onion

Instructions

  1. Mix pork, onion, spring onion, five spice powder, fish sauce, rice wine, corn flour and water in a bowl. Stir until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Cut the pastry sheet into 3-inch squares.
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons of the pork mixture in the middle of each square.
  4. Fold the squares over the filling to form triangles.
  5. Brush with a little egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Set the oven to 200°F (93°C) and bake for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy.

Notes

  • For easier folding, slightly chill the puff pastry before assembling the triangles.
  • To prevent soggy pastry, ensure the pork mixture is well-drained before filling.
  • Leftover triangles can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 1 month.
