Description

Flavorful fish tikka, grilled to perfection, served on pita with a vibrant mint chutney. A delightful family meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 Pita Bread
  • 3 tbsp Green Chutney
  • 1 large Red Onion sliced
  • Any mixed salad
  • Lemon juice
  • Chat masala
  • 1 lbs (454 g) Arctic Char (cubed)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp Crushed Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Crushed Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Greek Yoghurt
  • Salt
  • 1 cups (237 ml) Fresh Mint
  • 1 cups (237 ml) Fresh Coriander
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 Green Chili or Jalapeño seeded and chopped
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cups (60 ml) water

Instructions

  1. For the fish
  2. Mix the fish tikka marinade in a bowl and add the fish cubes. Coat evenly and let it sit in the fridge for 5 hours or overnight.
  3. Heat the grill and place the tikkas on greased foil. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping gently midway, until you see slightly golden edges.
  4. Once done, sprinkle some lemon juice and chat masala. Keep aside.
  5. Toast the pita bread and cut it into your desired shape.
  6. Spread a layer of green chutney on the pita bread.
  7. Top with some fish tikka, onions, and salad.
  8. For the Mint Chutney
  9. Chop up the coriander and mint. In a wet spice grinder or food processor, combine all the chutney ingredients and blend. Add a little more water if required.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, marinate the fish for up to 24 hours.
  • If Arctic Char is unavailable, substitute with cod, haddock, or salmon.
  • To prevent the pita from becoming soggy, toast it just before assembling the bites.
