Description

Sweet and salty dark chocolate covered almonds are the perfect afternoon snack. A simple recipe with big flavor!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups (473 ml) whole almonds
  • 6 ounces (170 g) dark chocolate
  • Large pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat 1-2 more times until the chocolate is fully melted.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together almonds and melted chocolate until each almond is coated.
  4. Lift the almonds out one by one, gently removing excess chocolate. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle with sea salt, then allow the almonds to set completely. Refrigerate to speed up the process.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate with a high percentage of cacao.
  • To prevent clumping, ensure the almonds are completely dry before coating them in chocolate.
  • Store finished almonds in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
