Scale
- 2 cups (473 ml) whole almonds
- 6 ounces (170 g) dark chocolate
- Large pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat 1-2 more times until the chocolate is fully melted.
- In a large bowl, stir together almonds and melted chocolate until each almond is coated.
- Lift the almonds out one by one, gently removing excess chocolate. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with sea salt, then allow the almonds to set completely. Refrigerate to speed up the process.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate with a high percentage of cacao.
- To prevent clumping, ensure the almonds are completely dry before coating them in chocolate.
- Store finished almonds in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
