Description

Creamy baked brie topped with sweet blackberries and fragrant thyme. The perfect appetizer for a relaxed evening.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Wheel Brie Cheese
  • 4 oz (100 g) Blackberries
  • Few sprigs Thyme
  • Crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 356°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the cheese from its packaging and remove the cheese cover using a sharp knife.
  3. Using a sharp knife, score the top rind of the cheese in a criss-cross pattern.
  4. Place the cheese back in its wooden container.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is soft and runny.
  6. Top with blackberries and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve with wine and crackers.

Notes

  • For a more intense thyme flavor, use fresh thyme and lightly chop it before adding to the brie.
  • If blackberries are out of season, substitute with other berries like raspberries or blueberries.
  • To prevent the brie from becoming overly runny, reduce baking time to 15-20 minutes if your oven runs hot.
