Description

These Baked Prosciutto and Brie Bites are a savory appetizer that combines creamy brie, salty prosciutto, and a sweet balsamic glaze, perfect for pairing with Pinot Noir.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 wheel of brie
  • 7 oz prosciutto
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the brie into 1/2 inch slices.
  3. Wrap each slice of brie with a slice of prosciutto and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place the wrapped brie bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the brie is starting to melt.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  7. Drizzle each bite with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with chopped pistachios before serving.

Notes

These bites are best served warm, right out of the oven. You can prepare them in advance by wrapping the brie in prosciutto and storing them in the fridge until ready to bake. If you don’t have balsamic glaze, you can reduce balsamic vinegar with a bit of sugar to make your own. Pair these bites with a light-bodied Pinot Noir for a delightful combination.
