Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 lbs (454 g) lean ground turkey
- 0.5 cups (118 ml) small diced white onion
- 0.5 small jalapeño (seeded and small diced)
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 4 slices sharp swiss cheese (cut in half (or whatever cheese you desire))
- 2 campari tomatoes (sliced)
- 8 slices cooked bacon (halved)
- 8 large basil leaves
- 8 small brioche buns (sliced in half horizontally)
- coarse dijon mustard for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, use a fork to gently mix all slider ingredients until well incorporated. Gently form 8 small slider patties and set aside.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium-high heat (approximately 375°F/190°C).
- Cook the sliders for about 5 minutes per side, or until no longer pink in the center and fully cooked.
- During the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, add 1/2 slice of Swiss cheese to each slider to melt.
- Remove from heat, tent with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Place each slider on a brioche bun.
- Top each slider with 2 pieces of bacon, 1 basil leaf, and 1-2 slices of tomato.
- Serve with mustard.
Notes
- For juicier patties, avoid overmixing the ground turkey. Gently combine ingredients until just incorporated.
- If you don’t have brioche buns, substitute slider buns or even toasted hamburger buns.
- To make ahead, prepare the turkey patties and store them separately from the other ingredients in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
