Fresh ingredients and a creamy avocado crema make them irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 1 American Wagyu Sirloin
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 0.5 cups (118 ml) sour cream
  • 0.5 of an avocado
  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt
  • Peas
  • Radishes
  • Red Onion
  • Tortillas
  • Lime Juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the steak
  2. Sprinkle salt, cumin, and chili powder on both sides of the steak.
  3. Heat a skillet (or grill) to medium-high heat (approximately 375°F (190°C)) and add the oil. Allow the oil to get hot.
  4. Cook the steak for about 3-5 minutes per side, depending on size or desired doneness.
  5. Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Make the Crema
  7. Combine the sour cream, avocado, cilantro, and lime juice. Use a fork to help smash the avocado.
  8. Assembly
  9. Cut the steak against the grain and place in warmed tortillas.
  10. Top with peas, radishes, red onion, fresh lime juice, and avocado crema

Notes

  • For perfectly tender steak, let it come to room temperature before cooking.
  • Substitute your favorite thinly sliced grilled vegetables for the peas and radishes.
  • Store leftover steak separately from the crema and toppings for optimal freshness.
