While most are pouring white and rosé wines, check out this stunning red that can be served slightly chilled with your summer fare. Tommasi, the Italian winemaking family, makes the Rafael Valpolicella Classico Superiore which is perfect for your summer sips. Serve this red wine slightly chilled for perfectly refreshing effect.

Like a typical, quality Valpolicella wine, Rafael is made from grapes harvested from the historic hillside Rafael family. The vineyard has produced some of the highest quality Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara for more than one hundred years. This three-grape blend is aged for 15 months in oak barrels to create its dried spice and leather scents with spicy cherry tannins on the tongue.

Its chilled temperature and slightly fruity medium-body is perfect even on the warmest nights. Serve this bottle with smoky, sauced, spicy ribs or any red or white meats off the grill. It is also perfect with an easy cheese spread enjoyed on the patio.
