Green Tea Milkshake with Matcha Powder

Just because the weather is warmer doesn't mean you have to neglect a warm cup of green tea. Adapt and enjoy this green tea milkshake to cool you down.
  • 1 - 1½ teaspoons matcha powder, plus extra for dusting
  • ¾ cup milk (I use coconut, but any milk works)
  • 1 - 2 heaping teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 - 3 large scoops vanilla ice cream (depending on how thick you like it)
  • whipped cream (optional)
  1. Blend the matcha powder, milk, honey and vanilla together in a blender.
  2. Add the ice cream and blend until smooth.
  3. Top with whipped cream and a dusting of matcha powder.
Warm the honey slightly so that it is thinner to make it easier to blend.
If you are using three scoops of ice cream, use the 1½ teaspoons of matcha.
