Description

These blondies are rich, decadent, and studded with dulce de leche. A perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cups (237 ml) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (473 ml) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2.5 cups (592 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 9 tsp dulce de leche

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla, followed by salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and flour. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth into an even layer.
  5. Spoon dulce de leche onto the layered batter; then, spoon and smooth the remaining blondie batter on top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons sugar with 1¼ teaspoons cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let the dulce de leche churro blondies cool before slicing.
  9. Store in an airtight container for up to several days.
  10. Serve by themselves or with a drizzle of dulce de leche on top (and your favorite ice cream if desired).

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular unsalted butter.
  • If you don’t have dulce de leche, you can substitute a caramel sauce or sweetened condensed milk.
  • To prevent sticking, let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting.
