Craig Collins, the owner of Nazca Kitchen, first traveled to South America in 2006 where he became enamored with the culture and cuisine. He became immersed in the South American way of life through their traditions and customs and transformed his love into Nazca Kitchen.

Nazca Kitchen is a fresh take on the traditional cuisine that has defined South America’s history. “In South America, food is the common thread in a cultural landscape woven for thousands of years by African American, Indian, Asian and European influences.” Collin explains. “I knew I wanted to develop a concept for Dallas that would compliment this great culture.”

The name, Nazca Kitchen, comes from a unique, agricultural civilization that once flourished along the southern coast of Peru. The Nazca culture was known not only for their exquisitely crafted textiles and polychormatic pottery, but also their impressive system of aqueducts that after more than 1000 years, is still in use today.  The name comes from “Las Linas de Nazca”, the ancient formation of geoglyphs or etchings in the desert outside Nasca, Peru.

Here you’ll find fresh-picked ingredients, rich flavors and authentic dishes like the Nazca Roasted Chicken that’s marinated for 24 hours and roasted and flame glazed with a bold Aji Pepper sauce. Must-trys include the Butter Leaf Fish Tacos, grilled and paired with cabbage, ailoli drizzle, aji amarillo sauce and mango lime relish and the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with sauteed peppers, queso blanco, bacon, lettuce, tomato, aioli drizzle and criolla served on an Amazon crunch bun.

Nazca offers a variety of options ranging from breakfast, lunch and dinner: (from top to bottom) Acai Bowl, Entrana steak, Nazca cappuccino.

My personal favorite is the Acai bowl; it’s packed with nutrients and antioxidants from the pureed acai berries and pairs nicely with the crunchy granola — it’s not overly sweet like most breakfast options and leaves you feeling healthy and satisfied.

Nazca Kitchen even has their own special blend of coffee — it features beans sourced from Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Blended together, these beans delivers a full-bodied, complex and flavorful cup of coffee. Their caramel latte is a must!

Travel to Nazca Kitchen for some tasty offerings and libations — it’s truly fit to be the Food for the Gods.
