Amazing Avocado Fries

Say goodbye to boring fries forever, and say hi to your favorite new side dish. These avocado fries are not just finger lickin’ delicious – they also happen to be gluten free (if you’re into that).

I wanted to enhance the avocado taste a bit, so I used grated cheese and a little melted butter in the coating. I used Turkish kasar cheese, but you can use parmesan or mascarpone cheese as well. We have these avocado fries as a side dish and we love to dip them into a dip made with strained yogurt, salt and chili powder. The yogurt sauce wonderfully complements the oily avocado flavor. These avocado fries make a perfect snack for game nights too.

  • I spent 15 months in Izmir, Turkey back in the late 70’s and loved a lot of the Turkish food. Especially sitting outside at a restaurant in the evenings for dinner. Çok te?ekkür ederim = Thank you very much for the Avocado fries. I’m going to try them and probably introduce them to my bar for appetizers with the others. I’d love to get the recipe for the bun and pepperoni and tomato sauce (that’s what it looked like) grilled on the outside vendor carts. I used to get 2 or 3 a week. I loved those.
