Beer cocktails are catching on in the U.S. and have created a new fan base of those that don’t usually drink beer but apparently do like the new beer cocktails. These are especially popular in summer because they are lighter than a mixed drink and very refreshing. So much interest has been created that for International Beer Day on the first of August, Hilton asked bartenders from properties across the U.S. to mix their favorite beer cocktails for guests to enjoy on a weekend getaway.
I wrangled a recipe of one the of the best of these in my opinion. Of course it is also especially appealing because this beer cocktail is from my home state of Hawaii. Using a ginger beer, the base of another famous tropical drink, Jamaica’s famous”Dark and Stormy”, this top notch summer-swizzler named “Stormy Waters” is from the idyllic Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.

Ingredients
- 1 oz. Gosling’s Black Seal Rum
- Ginger Beer
- Lime
Instructions
- Pour 1 oz. Gosling’s Black Seal Rum in bucket glass.
- Fill the rest of the glass with Ginger Beer.
- Garnish with a lime.
